What ZippyCast collects, what it never collects, and the choices you have.

ZippyCast ("we", "us", or "our") is a media player client. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and application, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ZippyCast, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password.
- Usage data: We store your in-app preferences, settings, watch progress, and favorites so we can sync them across your sessions.
- Support communications: If you contact us, we keep the name, email, and message you provide so we can respond.
- Diagnostics (Android TV app): If the app closes unexpectedly or a video fails to play, it sends us the error code it recorded, with the app version, your TV's make and model, and its Android version, so we can fix the problem. These reports contain no account details, video links, or provider credentials.
2. What We Do Not Collect
ZippyCast is strictly an empty-shell media player. We do not provide, host, or store IPTV content, channels, or playlists. Any third-party server credentials you enter are used only to connect you to your own provider and are never sold or shared.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your account and verify your email address.
- To save and synchronize your settings, profiles, favorites, and watch progress.
- To send transactional emails such as verification codes, password resets, and welcome messages.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To find and fix crashes and playback errors.
4. Email Communications
We use email to deliver verification codes, password reset codes, and account notices. These are sent securely and are never shared with third parties for marketing.
5. Data Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and never in plain text. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
6. Data Retention & Your Rights
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
ZippyCast is not intended for users under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
